Confirming of Rice Hoarding
Rice Hoarding was the said reason of Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Proceso Alcala this Wednesday, September 4, 2013 after inspecting the storeroom of rice dealers for increasing the price of rice in Mercado.
He also said that rice traders were juts manipulating the supply of rice to give reasons just to have rice price adjustment. “There are parties that have been manipulating rice supplier. We believe some people have large inventories and they are creating opportunities for the price to go up,” Alcala said.

The Dream of a Scholar
“People have dreams, if they don’t, perhaps they don’t get sleep.” –Marie Alyssa Dincol
She has a dream like everyone does. A dream of a 17-year old young lady who lives in Bulacan is to see her successful future. But how she can fulfil her dreams if she can’t afford to pay tuition fees for her college? Yes, her family has financial problem but she is willing to do everything just for her dream. A dream that can change her life. Until such time, she found out that she can continue her studies without any tuition fees to pay.
Why am I telling you this? It’s because she is a scholar to her home of knowledge and wisdom. She became a scholar not because a scholar requires an academically intelligence as high as what the nearer genius have but because of her effort, courage, determination and willingness to do so that she can make it until the end of her journey.
And now that she is already part of scholar students, she has no time for hanging out with friends, no weekends to rest, always late to go to bed or sometimes no more sleep. Eating voraciously that seems like there’s no tomorrow. And most of the time, thanking God for all the things that she have. Sounds like boring for others isn’t it? But not for her because that’s what makes her to be a scholar. She is doing this because she wants to have a future, a future that will bring her to success. That’s how she thinks.
Thinking if who is she, aren’t you? The young lady in the story is the one who composed the quote before the story began. That is how I dream, a dream to see my future.
